We have all sinned when we have done things our own way rather than God's way and sin separated us from relationship with God and eternity with Him. Because of God's great love for us and his desire to be in relationship with us. He wrapped Himself in humanity and came to earth over 2000 years ago as a man—Jesus the son.
Jesus lived a perfect sinless life but chose to give up his life to pay for the consequence of our sins when He was crucified on a cross. By doing this Jesus became the bridge between us and God so that we can have a relationship with God. Jesus was raised to life again, promising us eternal life. Jesus offers us forgiveness, relationship, and eternal life as a free gift- we just need to accept this gift by believing in Him.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only son. That whoever believes in Him, will not perish but have everlasting life.”
No matter who you are or what you have done or where you are in your life right now, Jesus's love and grace are greater than your mistakes. Even when others might give up on us and write us off, His offer of forgiveness and a fresh start always remain. His love and forgiveness is not based on our perfection, or our goodness. Its a free gift of grace.
Jesus is not an add-on to our life; He wants to be at the centre of who we are. He wants to lead us in a new life of joy, purpose, direction and peace through relationship with Him.
If you have never before accepted Jesus's free gift of salvation or are not sure if you have, you can choose to follow Him right now by praying this prayer of surrender to Jesus
Dear Jesus,
Today I choose to follow you. You are my Lord and Saviour forever. I thank you that you have forgiven me for all the wrong things I have done living my life without you. I believe you died for me and rose from the dead and that You are alive today.
Help me believe in You & remember how much you love me every day. I accept your love and grace for me. Thank you that I am now a child of God and heaven is my home
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Romans 10:9 says: “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
